Good Afternoon Pocasset Families, This afternoon Pocasset School conducted a practice lockdown. This practice lockdown lasted less than 10 minutes, and students stood in their classrooms during the drill with their teacher. I reassured students and staff prior to the lockdown that this was a practice lockdown, and gave everyone positive feedback afterwards Thanks, and I hope everyone has a wonderful February vacation, Dr. Suzette Wordell, Principal

Good Afternoon, We have just been informed by First Student Bus that Pocasset afternoon bus 20 will be late this afternoon due to staff shortages. First Student does not have an estimate of how late Bus 20 will be at this time. Good Evening Pocasset Families, Tomorrow is a distance learning day in Tiverton. Please have your children log into their teacher's Google Classroom for 9 am. Virtual school will end at noon. We're looking forward to seeing you all virtually tomorrow! Dr. Suzette Wordell, Principal

Due to the anticipated severe weather conditions, Tiverton Public Schools will be closed for in-person instruction, as well as all after-school activities on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. In light of this, students will be provided with their Chromebooks and are required to adhere to a distance learning day schedule. Precise schedules will be communicated by the respective principals shortly. Your safety and education remain our top priorities during this challenging weather event.

​The 2024 PTO Coin Wars is coming next week!! Coin Wars is a competition between all 5 grade levels (Kindergarten and PreK combine together) for grade level prizes, all while raising money for our PTO to help pay for Field Trips and Spring Events. PTO is sponsoring Coin Wars instead of doing a formal fundraiser (like selling candles, etc) for the spring. During Coin Wars, Pocasset students bring in coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters) between Monday February 5 - Friday March 1. There are prizes for the "most" coins each week, and a grand grade level prize for the most total amount of coins throughout all 4 weeks. So clean out your coins, and tell your friends and family members to give their coins to our students for Coin Wars! May the odds be ever in your favor, and LETS GO POCASSET!! Good Afternoon Pocasset Families, It's time for our Annual 2024 Snowflake Ball! What is the Snowflake Ball? It's a time when Pocasset students (ONLY) can get dressed up fancy and come to a student dance at Pocasset. It is a free Pocasset students only event. This is not a drop-off event. Every student MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian 18 years old or older in case a child gets injured (which we, of course, hope won't happen). This is a dark and loud event, similar to the PTO Halloween Party. It will probably be too much for most children 4 and under. In order for our event to be a success, we need volunteers!
