Tiverton High Schoolās impressive mock trial season came to an end on Tuesday afternoon, coming up just short against the #1-ranked Wheeler High School team. THS enjoyed the incredible experience of a full-blown jury trial in Federal District Court before the Honorable Mary C. McElroy. THS represented the prosecution, with Maeve McHugh, Brendan Sowa, and Brooke Sowa serving as the attorneys. The witnesses for the trial were played by Morgan Pontagarca, Aidan Sweeney, and Olivia Manning. While the razor-thin defeat was disappointing, this yearās Final Four season was a rousing success. All but one team member will return to compete next season with the hope of taking the final step and winning the State of Rhode Islandās Sowa Cup. Tryouts for new members will take place in the Fall.
