Newsletter written beneath a rolled up newsletter

Hello Families,

This has been quite an interesting 18 months to say the least. As a PTO, we are working on how to function in our “new normal.” We have been busy behind the scenes and helping at a distance when we can. Some of our 2021-2022 school year projects have been: collecting supplies for the teachers' school supply closet, purchasing new picnic tables for outdoor lunch and restocking the recess bins for each classroom that we bought last year.

PTO Data Base: One of the many challenges that we face is that we’ve been unable to collect new parent information for our PTO database as we were unable to participate in kindergarten orientation to welcome all of our new families. Please complete the PTO Contact Information Form to help us build a new digital database so that we can contact parents more easily . We kindly ask you to fill out the form for each student you have at Ranger. 2021-2022 PTO student & Parent Directory Form

We hope that you will find it easy to reach out to us with any questions. We have set up an active Facebook page that will keep you looped in on upcoming events, activities, and ways you can become involved in your child’s success. We encourage each and every one of you to become a part of our team. The number one reason to join the PTO is to benefit the children, but there are many more advantages:

  • By becoming a PTO member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
  • By volunteering with PTO, you gain valuable experiences and personal confidence. It’s an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use, for a good cause.
  • By getting involved, you’ll be part of the solution, helping to make positive change.
  • PTO functions provide opportunities to meet other parents and teachers.
  • PTO is a forum for exchanging ideas; attend the PTO General meetings throughout the year to make suggestions and provide your input.

If you have any questions, ideas, or would like to help in any way, please feel free to contact us at PTOranger@gmail.com

Sincerely,

Your Ranger School PTO Board

PTO Meetings

The PTO is hoping to host its first meeting of the 2021-2022 school year on Thursday, September 16th @ 6:30pm at Ranger. Our plan is to meet outside socially distanced and we will request for parents to bring their own chairs. In the event of inclement weather resulting in an indoor meeting, we will be sure to remind parents to be masked and to use their own chair to limit the need to sanitize school property. Jen is planning on dropping the binding use form off to you next week.

Moving into the fall, we're going to try and hold our meetings in the community room at the Tiverton Library. We have reserved the room for our October and November meetings and if all goes well, we'll plan on booking the space (if available) for the remainder of the year. The PTO meetings for this school year are tentatively scheduled on the following dates..

Thursday 9/16 @ 6:30- Ranger
Thursday 10/7 @ 6:30-Tiverton Library Community Room
Thursday 11/4 @ 6:30-Tiverton Library Community Room

Thursday 3/24 @ 6:30-TBD
Thursday 4/28 @ 6:30-TBD
