Wordell’s Weekly Words – 9.6.22
Good Morning Pocasset Families,
Many thanks to all of you for a fantastic start to our school year! Here’s a few items for this week:
1. PM Walker Pick Up: Initially, we had K-2 line up on the gym side, and grades 3-4 line up on the Cafeteria side for student pick up. This year, we have a very large group of Kindergarten walkers. In order to even out the Walker Pick Up lines and reduce waiting time for all, only K-1 families will line up on the gym side, and grades 2-4 families will line up on the Cafeteria side – beginning today. Thank you for helping us improve afternoon Walker dismissal.
2. PTO Meeting: Our first PTO Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 8 at 3:45 pm in our playground. Please bring your chair and come help support our lovely school!
3. No School: We will have a no school day on Tuesday, September 13, which is state primary day. Pocasset is used as a polling site, so out of abundance of safety our building is closed.
4. Open House: Pocasset Open House will be held on Wednesday, September 14 from 6-6:30 pm for families with a last name beginning with A-L and 6:30-7:00pm for families with a last name beginning with M-Z. I will be sending out a specific Open House email next Monday with additional details. We hope to see you then!
