POWERPOINT PROJECT - Getting Started

1. Do some Initial Research - Having an interesting subject does absolutely no good if you can not find any information!

2. Pick a Subject!  Try to find a good balance between interest in subject, Information available, and fellow students interest.

3. Determine which questions an audience would want to ask?   Try to Place yourself in the audience.  If you were watching a presentation on your subject, what questions would you want answered.
Here are some general questions:

  • What is it?

  • What does it do?

  • How do I get it/ How do I use it?

  • How much does it cost?

Create a MS Word document, save it in the PowerPoint Project folder.  Write down the questions you are going to answer.

4. Begin research.  SAVE IT TOO.......Go on line, use the www.smartcomputing.com site. Do not forget that you can save the info by saving the whole web page, opening a Word doc and using "copy/paste" to save info, or marking a page in favorites.
