Using the Pattern Maker

Open a picture

Use the rectangular marquee to select area

Go to Filter>Pattern Maker

When the
Pattern Maker Dialogue Box appears,
Select Generate
Pattern Preview will appear

Make sure you rename>save as
so you do not overwrite your original image!
