Making a Gradient:

Opening a New Object

1. Go to Start, Programs, Adobe, Photoshop

2. Go to File, New. The New document dialogue Box will appear.

3. Type “your first name” Header (example – Bob’s Header) in the
Name Information Box.

4. In the Image Size Box, be sure the measurement used is pixels.

5. Set the Width to 800pixels. Set the Height to 150 pixels.

6. Choose to the Color Picker

7. Go to the Color Ramp, and choose
a color close to Maroon.

8. Choose the Gradient Tool. (shown at top of page.)
Go to Window, Show Options. Choose Normal

Click Edit.

9. Choose Foreground to Background. Try adjusting the gradient dispersion.

10. Drag Cursor across Image to make a gradient.
