Using the rubber stamp tool

The rubber stamp tool takes a sample of the image, which you can then apply over another image or part of the same image. Each stroke of the tool paints on more of the sampled image. Cross hairs mark the original sampling point. The pattern stamp

Tool lets you select part of an image and paint with the selection as a pattern.

1. Choose the Standard Lasso tool from the menu.

2. Outline one of the balloons.  Delete it leaving a white space.

3. Choose the Rubber Stamp Tool.

4. Choose an area about 2 inches away from your deletion.

5. Position the pointer on the part of the image you want to sample, and Alt-click.

This sample point is the location from which the image is duplicated as you paint.

6. Crosshairs ( + ) will appear. This will allow the rubber stamp to duplicate

that “target area in the space you deleted. Fill in the area.

7. Go to Select>Deselect, to get rid of the marching ants.
