Chapter 8
The old time movies were a series of moving
“Picture frames” Flash works in a similar fashion in that you they author draw
a series of frames and flash creates the motion in-between.
1.
Open the Word document “Flash Definitions”. Describe the term keyframe.
2.
Page 104 – Create
a background using simple drawing tools.
Insert a regular frame in the 15th frame following the
directions on page 105. Save as FlashCh8a
3.
Using Flash Ch8a,
select the 10th frame in the timeline. Go to Insert>Keyframe.
Experiment with the directions on Page 107.

Open your Word
document of flash definitions. Define
layers.
5.
Open Flash. Go to
Insert>Layers and add 2 new layers. Name the three layers Square, circle and
Triangle. Experiment with the directions on page 112 to Delete and Copy Layers.
6.
Select Modify>Layers. Experiment with the
Layer Property Dialogure Box.
7.
Page 116-118 –
Mask Layers. Create the effect shown on
page 118.
