Tempo Jr. Monthly Meeting Minutes April 8th 6:00pm Attendees: Jennifer O’Neill, Beth Bergeron, Elaine Scanlon, Erin Scanlon, Theresa Ferreira, Denise pare, Kathie Rothstein, Joan Marie Dansky, Tracey Mallory, Donna Mello, Elizabeth A St.Ours, Jessica Caldwell Subjects Discussed: March Concert Behavior of 5th grade band students in hallway was not acceptable. Question as to whether they should sit in a certain section during other performances. Maybe it should be addressed in the newsletter to the parents with the etiquette and concert dress issues. It was suggested that high school students that need community service hours could be assigned to monitor the “where” and “what” is being done during the remainder of the performances. Talent Show Results The show sold 269 tickets netting $798 at the gate, less $150 paid to the Fireman, add in $130 in proceeds from concession sales, giving Tempo Jr a total of $928 for the night. Sara Costa, a senior at the high school, was the producer of the show. It was suggested that it would be a good senior project for next year’s show. It was also a good source of positive feedback at the middle school from the peers of the kids who participated in the show. QSP Magazine Fundraiser Sales totaled $4,547, making a net profit for Tempo of $1,795.00. However, there was a snag discovered that there is a shipping fee for any music or books ordered which totaled $22.00 for which Tempo was not aware. It was decided that Tempo would cover that unknown cost. The check will be cut and sent to the vendor shortly.
