We are trying to get decals created to match the sweatshirt logo.  The goal is to have them ready in time for the next concert. Erin Scanlon will check with Tiverton Signs

Upcoming band events: 

Concerts:

            March 12  Band    Grades 5 – 12

            March 19  Strings Grade 4 – 12

            March 26  Chorus Grades 5 – 12

            There will be sweatshirts for sale and decals (if ready)

            There will be Announcement Items listed on a page of each concerts’ programs.

            This information will be for the parents who have been missing correspondence.

            There will also be a short list of announcements at the start of each concert.

            Canobie Lake  Grades 5 & 6

There are presently three buses required for this trip for 6 students.  We are hoping after the concerts some more students will be verified for attendance.    Tempo Jr will be making phone calls to the families who have not given notice of attendance.  There will be an attempt to fill the bus or rearrange chaperones in cars to save the cost of the third bus.

            Six Flags  Grades 7 & 8

There one seat left on the bus. 

Each trip price includes the cost of a T-shirt in order to have the band members all wearing the same uniform

FIRST ANNUAL TEMPO JR TALENT SHOW

The auditions have been completed.  The chosen 15 acts will be notified in order to setup practice before the April 2nd show.  The response was wonderful, and we hope this will become an annual event.  There will be another panel created to choose the best performers out of the 15 for prizes. ($5 entry fee to help with the prize money)  Proceeds will be set aside for music needs as they come up

Fundraising and other activities:

We are working on getting an order form for Coffee Sales.  Our plan is to get the order forms to all students before and at the concerts.  We will take orders until April 8th.  The orders will be filled and available the week after spring vacation.

We are still selling sweatshirts.

We are still deciding on a provider for plants to sell at the (May)Spring Concert.  JR is going to check with Leo’s as soon as they are open for business.

We are sill looking for pictures of any of the band events (including last year). 

These pictures will be put together on a slide show disc.  Please contact:

Magazine sales sheets have been returned and earned monies for participants.

We plan to have a Fruit Sale first thing in the fall of next year.

Financial Assistance forms created for music students trip needs.  The submitted forms will be reviewed by a committee to attempt to fulfill the needs of the students.

We are starting an annual fundraiser in May.  This will be a candy sale by all students to create funds for performing students entering the High School.  These funds will assist them with performing costs.  More info to come.

Next Meeting April 8, 2008  6:00 at THS band room

This is early in order to allow for attendance at the School Committee meeting.

We need some parent participation.  The majority of officers are 8th grade parents, and we need new parents for the upcoming year.
