Dress Code
Smart casual dress is appropriate for school. Any article of dress or hairstyle that is detrimental to the health or safety of the student body or to the instructional process is prohibited. Such attire as strapless tops, muscle shirts, tank tops, bare midriffs, transparent clothing, pajama tops/bottoms, hoods, bandanas, sunglasses, studded bracelets, and pocket chains is inappropriate for school
Dresses and shorts must be appropriate in length, they should be no shorter than mid-thigh in length. “Micro” shorts and skirts are not acceptable. In an effort to maintain a supportive atmosphere in which students can pursue their studies free of harassment and distraction, any messages on clothing should be supportive of good health. Hats and outerwear (includes hooded sweatshirts and vests) may not be worn in school and must be placed in the lockers. The high school administration has primary responsibility for interpreting and enforcing the dress code.
