Asthma and Allergy Foundation Scholarship- February 15, 2008
Eligibility and Criteria: Must be a high school junior or senior. Must have
asthma or
significant allergies and plan to begin higher education after high school. Must
have
attained a level of excellence in academic and/or extracurricular activity and
submit
a postmarked application by February 15, 2008.

Cox Scholarship Program- February 29, 2008
Criteria: Academic excellence, community involvement and a desire to continue
their education in the communications field. Sponsored by Cox Communications.
Katie DeCubellis Memorial Foundation Scholarship April 25, 2008
Eligibility: Three scholarships to seniors who are RI residents, scheduled to
attend a Technical,
two or four year college/university and have physically, emotionally, and/or
financially been
affected by an incident involving a driver who was operating a vehicle while
impaired.
Massachusetts Credit Union Scholarship- February 11, 2008
High School senior eligible. Application or parent/guardian must be a member of
St. Anne’s
Credit Union in good standing. Criteria: essays, grades, financial need and
extracurricular/
community activities. Awards: one $1,000 and five $500 scholarships.
Michael E. McCarthy Memorial Scholarship- April 7, 2008
Criteria: Member of the senior class at either Middletown High School or
Tiverton
High School, accepted into a 2 or 4 year college or technical program,
involvement
in interscholastic sports, faced and overcame some academic difficulty during
high
school career, and evidence of academic success.
Paul Ronci Memorial Scholarship- March 31, 2008
Eligibility and Criteria: Senior status is required. Students must be in the top
10% of the class, have attained academic excellence, demonstrates a financial
need, and a RI resident. Scholarships are awarded in the amounts ranging from
$100.00 to full tuition. Please apply online @www.PaulFroncischolarship.org or

RI Building Industry Scholarship Fund- March 1, 2008
Eligibility: High school seniors who had an interest in pursuing an education in
the construction field.
RI Polonia Scholarship February 15, 2008
Eligibility and Criteria: Students must be of Polish-American descent and a high
school senior. Seniors must have attained academic achievement, community
service, and financial need. Two - $500.00 scholarships are awarded. All
applications must be submitted by February 15, 2008.
RI Saltwater Anglers Association April 15, 2008
Fisheries and Marine Sciences Scholarship-
Eligibility and Criteria: Any high school senior who will attend URI or Roger
Williams majoring in marine affairs, or fisheries program. Scholarship is
awarded in the amount of $500.00. This recipient will be selected based on merit
and need.
Westport River Watershed Alliance’s Merit Award Policy April 1, 2008
The WRWA offers up to two $500.00 merit awards annually to graduating seniors
who plan
to pursue further their education. The applicant must live in the Westport River
watershed
Communities of: Little Compton, Tiverton, Dartmouth, Fall River, or Westport.
Criteria:
academic record, essay, extracurricular activities/community service. Work
experience.
