Robotics Team Headed to Nationals

The 2009 Granite State FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Regional Robotics championships where held in Manchester, NH from February 26-28.   Forty-five teams from all over New England participated, bringing some of the best robots in the country to compete.  The Champions were Team 121 which hailed from Tiverton, Portsmouth, Middletown and Mount Hope High Schools.  Tiverton participants were Gregory Sanford (driver), Dylan Rodriguez (human player), Thomas Buckley (strategist), Alex Landry, and Dylan Morin.

The team also received the prestigious First Robotics Gracious Professionalism Award for their outreach and fraternal approach to other teams.

The team will be headed to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta next month for the Finals.
