2007 - 2008 Math Team
The THS Math
Team completed it first two meets of the season victories. Tiverton
Placed first in the Island Division, one of seven divisions in Rhode
Island. A total of 15 teams completed in the Island division
representing Portsmouth, Middletown, Mt. Hope, St. Mary’s Bayview
Academy, and Tiverton. Statewide 673 students from 33 high schools,
both public and private participated. THS ranks 17th. High scorer
for THS in Meet 1 was Dan Iwanski with a near perfect score of 16
out of a possible 18. Statewide 29 students have had perfect scores
thus far. In our division (Island Division) only 2 students
accomplished this feat one of them being our own Elena Olsen, a
first for THS!
The following are the 18 members of the THS team: Elena Olsen
(Co-Captain), Daniel Iwanski (Co-Captain), Ellen Fredericks, Philip
Langley, Elizabeth Buckley, Stephanie Raffensperger, Syndey
Higginbottom, Erica Cabral, Kenneth Proulx, Andrew Munroe, Heather
Jamieson, Nathan Pelletier, Tatiana Klusak, Charles O’Connell,
Patrick Westcott, Daniel Mello, Chelsea Benjamin, and Patrick
Bourlett. The volunteer coach is Mrs. Nancy Carreiro.
