Community Service

The Tiverton School Department is committed to community service.
Community service is more than a graduation requirement at Tiverton High School. The school culture is infused with Service-Learning. This teaching and learning strategy provides meaningful opportunities that promote personal, social, and intellectual growth, as well as civic responsibility and career exploration.

As a part of the educational experience at Tiverton High School students are encouraged to experience the “real world”. The Community Service-Learning Program seeks to encourage students to try out activities and opportunities that are different from those to which they are normally exposed; in this way their education is enhanced and their understanding of their community and the world is broadened.
