Due
to the hands-on nature of the subjects taught in this department, homework may
be assigned when deemed feasible to support a lesson.
It
has also been the policy of the Tech Ed Dept. to assign homework as a means for
students to receive extra help when needed. Homework also boosts confidence and
self-esteem.
Homework
will be assigned under the following guidelines:
a. Homework will be deemed necessary
and will be assigned if students are falling behind in their normal daily
course of study.
b. Homework can also be
assigned at the request of parent or student for extra help in support of and
to reinforce the daily lesson.
c. Any homework assignment will
be directly related to the subject matter at hand.
d. Some homework carries the
option of credit/no credit at the teachers’ discretion.
e. Homework will be passed in
to the teacher and/or substitute on the day following the assignment.
f. Homework that is illegible
will not be accepted.
