              We recently received the results of our annual SALT Survey. I  would like to again thank all parents, grade 4 students, and school staff for their participation. The percentages of responses by each group was outstanding and reflects the commitment to excellence that is shared throughout the Ranger School and its community. As always, please remember that the office door is always open in regards to concerns, questions, issues, etc. that pertain to our students.
               Two areas that the state looks at closely are parent involvement and school climate. With this in mind, a number of responses in those categories are listed below. 
 
Parent Attitudes Towards the School and Involvement

Parent Reports of School’s Efforts to Involve Parents
 
· 79% feel that the school does well in telling them how their child is doing.
· 88% feel that the school does well in sending home news about things happening at school.
· 72% feel that the school does well in giving information on how report card grades are earned.
· 75% feel that the school does well in contacting them if their child is having problems.
· 90% feel that the school does well in sending home clear notices that are easily read.
· 85% feel that the school does well in responding to concerns and requests within a reasonable time.
· 76% feel that the school does well in asking them to volunteer.
· 87% feel that the school does well in inviting them to PTO meetings.
· 83% feel that the school does well in inviting them to programs at the school.
