Policy #211

Title: CHAIRPERSON

The Chairperson of the Tiverton School Board shall:

1. Preside at Board meetings.

2. Perform all duties imposed by the statutes.

3. Perform such other duties as may be prescribed by law or by the

action of the Board.

4. Provide for the election of all committees of the School Board and be

an official member of all such committees.

5. Sign all checks and legal documents as authorized by the Board.

6. Have the same right as other members to offer resolutions, to make or

amend motions, to discuss questions and to vote thereon.
