Title:   LINE OF RESPONSIBILITY

 

          1.  The Superintendent's, Business Manager’s, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction’s responsibility is system-wide.  They alone report to the School Board.

 

ELEMENTARY

 

2.     The Elementary Principal's responsibility is his school, his teachers,

clerks, custodians and students.  He reports to the Superintendent.

 

          3.  The Contact teacher's responsibility is the same as the principal's during the principal's absence. He reports to the principal.

 

          4.  Classroom teachers; teachers of art, music and physical education; Librarians and Guidance personnel are responsible for their students.  They report to the Principal or Contact teacher.

 

 

SECONDARY

 

          1.  The High School Principal's responsibility is his school, his administrators, his department chairpersons, his teachers, clerks and custodians, and his students.  He reports to the Superintendent.

 

          2.  The Vice-Principal's responsibility is the same as the principal's.  He reports to the Principal.

 

          3.  Guidance Department Chairperson’s responsibility is the guidance personnel and the students.  He reports to the Principal or Vice-Principal.

 

          4.  Department Chairperson's responsibility is their teachers and students. He reports to the Principal or Vice-Principal.

 

          5.  The Classrooms teachers' responsibility is the students.  They report to the Chairpersons of their departments, the Principal or Vice-Principal.

SPECIAL EDUCATION

 

          1. The Director of Regional Special Education is responsible for his teachers and students.  He reports to the Superintendent.

 

          2. The Special Education teachers are responsible for their instructional aides and students.  They report to the Director of Special Education and are accountable to the principal.

 

3.     The Secondary Special Education Department Chairpersons are

responsible for their teachers and aides and are accountable to the principal.

 

4.     Elementary Guidance Counselors are responsible for coordinating
