Tiverton High School

Proficiency Based Graduation Requirements

Updated Graduation Policy - Approved 12/8/09

Our graduation requirements are designed to ensure that every graduate of Tiverton High School will be prepared to successfully enter the work force or to pursue a post-secondary educational program.  These requirements are aligned to the New England Association for Secondary Schools and Colleges and the Rhode Island Board of Regents for Elementary and Secondary Education Diploma System Requirements

In meeting the requirements for graduation, students will have multiple opportunities to reach proficiency and successfully complete course work which is aligned with the Rhode Island Grade Span Expectations, Applied Learning Standards, and local graduation requirements, as approved by the Tiverton School Committee.

The following documents have been developed to provide an overview of the process and requirements for graduation.  Additional information is available through the Tiverton High School Administration Office and Guidance.
