Family Involvement Storybook Selections
The Bookcase offers descriptions of read-aloud storybooks with
family involvement themes. Family involvement is defined broadly here as
families engaging in activities at home, at school, or in the community, with
the purpose of supporting children's school education or more general learning.
The Bookcase currently focuses on children's picture books, both fiction and
narrative nonfiction, written for children from about 4 to 8 years old. Only
recent books are included, published through 2002.
