In light of the recent teacher's contract negotiations the Tiverton School Committee feels obligated to provide the residents of Tiverton with the data it is using to project departmental expenditures for FY09 and FY10.   We have compiled a summary of financial information that we have been using to make decisions during contract negotiations.  It is our hope that by sharing this information with the residents of Tiverton, you will better understand our position and the challenges that we will be facing.   Please click here for the information.
School Board Meetings
The School Committee meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month
@ 7 p.m. in the Tiverton High School Library!
Announcement of all regular School Board Meetings will be made to the Fall River
Herald News as least two (2) days prior to the meeting by the Superintendent.

Anyone may address themselves to the subject matter of each item of business appearing on the posted agenda immediately before such matter is taken up for disposition by the School Board. (Policy 732). Since the School Board is a deliberative body, it should consider the input from individuals, but avoid extended debate with them whenever possible.

PUBLIC COMMENT AT BOARD MEETINGS
 At a public meeting of the School Board, no person shall orally initiate charges or complaints against individual employees of the district or challenge instructional materials used in the district. All such charges, complaints, or challenges shall be presented to the Superintendent or Board in writing, signed by the complainant. All such charges, if presented to the Board directly, shall be referred to the Superintendent for investigation and report.
