Tiverton Public Schools Web Page Policy
POLICY
1. Either the student's name or picture may appear on the web site with parental permission. At no time will both student name and picture appear together.
2. Ownership of all files will remain with the Tiverton public Schools
3. The district may copyright and/or modify any page at any time
4. The webmaster will be responsible for the posting of information to the web page and must follow this policy.
5. The administration may remove any page which does not conform to the district's publication, instructional resources, collection development and acceptable use policies.
6. The district will not host any personal pages for either staff or students, nor will the district provide for the development of links to such pages.
7. If it is determined that the district has parental permission (via signed release) to post student material or work on the district's web site, the district will only post minimal identification of the student for safety reasons.
8. Original student work which is posted will be accompanied by language assuring that the student or his/her family is the copyright holder and the will act as an intermediary for any request for permission to use and/or publish the work.
PROCEDURES
1. Allocate necessary HD space for each school
2. Team/person from each school under the direction of the building principal to control the page.
3. Contact links to get permission to use
4. No soliciting
5. Include link to webmaster mail
