How do we engage our community in improving our
schools?

Develop community outreach program

Invite public into the schools to see
kids present their successes via performances (i.e. music, computer,
literacy, arts, etc.)

Recruit community volunteers (coaches,
mentors, etc.); teachers don’t need to do it all
·
Community based integration by having
programs open for townspeople to come into the schools
·
Increase opportunities for community
groups to use/see school facilities
·
Mentoring – bring people of different
occupations into the schools
